Troy J. Todd, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, passed away unexpectedly March 13, 2024 in Greenbrier, Arkansas. He was born in Angola, Indiana, on October 24, 1979 but grew up in Little Rock, Arkansas which he lovingly referred to as "the Center of the Universe."
Troy led a fulfilling life filled with love, laughter, and meaningful connections. He dedicated six years of his life in service to the U.S. Navy where he met some of his lifelong brothers before pursuing a successful career in military and defense. Through multiple mergers and acquisitions, Troy worked for Collins Aerospace for over 18 years. He loved his work with a passion unlike any other always knowing he was ultimately helping the wartime fighter and his brothers and sisters in arms. In recent years his dedication was solely focused on the U.S. Coast Guard and the trust they had built together, always vowing to "Keep 'Em Flyin."
Troy became a father in 2001 at the young age of 21 with the birth of his oldest daughter Abby and again in 2005 with the birth of his youngest daughter Anna. He loved being "A Girl Dad" and spending quality time with his girls was the best part of his day. Troy was a proud graduate of Catholic High School in Little Rock and valued education throughout his life passing that importance on to his daughters every chance he got.
Known for his vibrant personality and love for the outdoors, Troy found joy in activities such as hiking, camping, fishing, swimming, and just being in nature. There wasn't a lake he didn't like. His culinary skills were unmatched as he cooked delicious meals that were always perfectly seasoned - a talent that delighted his family and friends. Troy also had a deep love for his Razorbacks and Tar Heels as well as reading, watching movies and documentaries, riding his lawn mower, and enjoyed getting away to Vegas with friends any chance he could. Troy had a special way of bringing smiles to everyone's faces with his sense of humor and playful teasing.
Troy will be deeply missed by his surviving family: his loving wife and best friend Emilia Todd; devoted daughters Abigail Todd and Anna Todd; cherished mother Sally and stepfather Rudy Avila; brothers Travis Todd, Jeremy Todd (Jennifer), sister Audra Miller (Josh); as well as his dear in-laws, Ana and Nick Gurgu.
He was preceded in death by his father Thomas Todd, brother R.J. Avila, grandparents Pat and Charlie Craig and Mary and Joe Todd, and his precious Lola girl.
