Troy Looper
Troy Lee Looper, Sr. was born December 10, 1951 to the late Raymond and Alma Looper in Mt. Zion, Arkansas. He passed away peacefully in his home with his family on December 19, 2016 following a lengthy illness.
Troy has resided in North Little Rock most of his life, also living in Lufkin, Texas. Spending time with his family was his favorite thing to do. He enjoyed watching old western movies. Troy met the love of his life, Doris Kay in Wells, Texas in 1969 and married June 1, 1971.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Doris Kay Looper; 4 children, Gigi Kay Jennings (James), Tressa Nicole Gray (Daryl), Troy Lee Looper, Jr. (Maria), and Tamara Charisse Works; grandchildren, Dustin, Justin, Kalie, Brittney, Dennis "Bubba", Abigail, Luke, Myles, Kawhi, Tori, Donovan, Hayden and Brayleigh; 6 great-grandchildren, Hannah, Eden, Able, Javontae, D.J., and Nevaeh; 4 brothers, Robert "Sonny" Looper, Charles "Butch" Looper; Danny Looper and Billy Looper.
Troy was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Dorothy Brown and Barbara Weikel; 1 brother, James "Jimmy" Looper.
Visitation will be at 10:00 A.M. prior to the funeral service at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, December 22, 2016 at First Pentecostal Church, 1401 Calvary Road, North Little Rock, with Brother Joel Holmes officiating.
