Troy Bearden

Troy Lee Bearden, 88, of North Little Rock passed away Sunday, June 12, 2011. He was born October 20, 1922 in Cabot, Arkansas to Guy A. and Grace Bearden. He was preceded in death by his parents and wives Mary Northwang Bearden and Maybelle Corder Bearden, brother and sister Guy Bearden and Oueda Bearden Morris, and nephew Jimmy Wayne Morris.
He is survived by his step-son Dwayne Whitley, step granddaughters Sally Casto and Susanna Adams, three very special nieces Janice Lambert, Marilyn Palmer, and Peggy Morris, and a very special nephew Steve Bearden. He is also survived by a large number of beloved great nephews and nieces, step great-grandchildren and step great-great-grandchildren.
Troy was a World War II veteran serving in United States Navy in the Pacific until February of 1946. Also, he was a nursing assistant for the VA Hospital, Fort Roots, for 33 years and retired from there.
The family wishes to thank the caring staff of the Premier Health and Rehabilitation facility in North Little Rock for their love and concern for Troy over the last several months.
A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Cabot. Arrangements by North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170. Online obituary and guest registry at www.nlrfh.com.
