Tony Edward Ray

Tony Edward Ray, 71, of Sparkman, Arkansas, was born July 10, 1951, to John William “Jack” Ray and Audrey Holloway Ray.  He received his heavenly wings Thursday, October 27, 2022. 

Tony was well-known and loved by his family and many beloved friends. He was generous, humble, soft-spoken and witty.  He was a highly respected carpenter, designer, painter and artist that enjoyed serving his community. 

He was a United States Marine in which he took great pride. 

Tony was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed spending time on the river in his pet boat. 

He was preceded in death by his father, John William “Jack” Ray; mother, Audrey Holloway Ray and brother, Lewis Lane “Sonny” Ray.

Left to cherish his memory are his sisters, Phyllis Ray Ruocco, Jackie (Rusty) Rutherford and Patricia Ray; brothers, Richard Ray and John Ray, Jr.; step-mother, Nadine Ray; step-daughter, Janice Kilgore; three nieces and one nephew. 

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 2^nd at 2:00 p.m. at Sparkman First Baptist Church with Brother James Guthrie officiating.

Burial will follow at Rock Springs Cemetery near Shady Grove.
