Tonja Gail Cobb Green, 75, of Sherwood passed away Thursday, April 10, 2014. She was born September 30, 1938 in Panama City, Florida to the late Kenneth W. and Kathleen Weaver Cobb. She was a member of Park Hill Baptist Church. She started as a medical secretary in Mobile, Alabama, was a substitute teacher with the Pine Bluff School District, and
attended Gulf Park College in Gulfport, Mississippi and LSU. Tonja was a loving mother, wife and grandmother. She volunteered at animal shelters and was very compassionate toward animals.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Donald Vance Green Sr., of Sherwood; sons, Donald Vance Green, Jr. (Beth) of Abilene, Texas, Randall Kenneth Green (Dawn) of Nashville, Tennessee and Brian Scott Green (Darla) of Maumelle; and six grandchildren, Stephen, Katie, Chase, Ava, Sydney and Logan.
Memorials may be made to Pulaski County Humane Society, 14600 Colonel Glenn Road, Little Rock, Arkansas 72210.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Saturday April 12th at North Little Rock Funeral Home followed by a funeral service at 11:30 a.m. Online obituary at www.SmithFamilyCares.com .
