Tommy Tedford

Tommy Tedford, aged 65, of Hot Springs, passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2022.

He was born July 29, 1956, in Fordyce, the son of Elva Tedford and Mirlene Mayberry Tedford. On June 5, 1976, he married Nancy Young.  He is preceded in death by his parents; and one son, Kenny Tedford.

Tommy, “Pops”, as all of his kids, grandkids and great-grandkids knew him as, loved his family.  His family was his world.  He always had words of wisdom and life experiences to share with his kids and grandkids.  Tommy loved rebuilding classic vehicles with his son, T.J. and grandson, Tanner.  He was always outside in his shop or on his tractor.  He proudly owned and operated Tommy’s Wrecker Service for 38 years. He left us with many amazing memories.  Tommy was a loving, devoted husband, dad and Pops.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Nancy Tedford of Fountain Lake; his son and daughter-in-law, Tommy Tedford, Jr. and Kim of Fountain Lake; his daughters and son-in-law, Amy and Wayne Gates of Bonnerdale; seven grandchildren and spouses, Beth and Ty Fitzhugh, Tiffeny and David Alford, Tanner and Sierra Tedford, Emily Ward, Tyler Gates, Carissa Gates and Haley Gates; six great-grandchildren, Gabe McMillian, Gunner Alford, Kannon Alford, Zane Fitzhugh, Leeam Tedford, and Ella Tedford; numerous extended family and a host of many good friends.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM, Friday, July 15, 2022, with Pastor Ronnie Vanderslice officiating in the Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs.

Interment will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Thursday evening at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Wayne Gates, Tyler Gates, Ty Fitzhugh, David Anemone, David Alford and Tanner Tedford.

Honorary pallbearers are Emily Ward, Tiffeny Alford, Beth Fitzhugh and Sierra Tedford.
