Tommy Reed

Tommy Reed, 48, of Sherwood, passed away Saturday, October 9, 2010 after a life time of heart problems and strokes. Tommy lived in Beebe until he was ten then moved to Sherwood where he joined and loved the wonderful members of Victory Baptist Church in Sherwood and Brother Tom Hart.. In recent years he has become associated with the caring and loving pastors and member of the McArthur Church in Jacksonville. He had been a volunteer at St. Vincent North. He loved to restore autos and was an enthusiastic member of the Cabot Christian Car Club. He had a great sense of humor and loved hunting, fishing and playimg games.
He was preceded in death by his father, T. J. Reed and his grandparents, Hattie Lou and Jabez Reed and Ethel and Kenneth Owens.
He is survived by his mother, Donna Reed of Sherwood and her fiancé, Bob Richardson; a very special friend, Deborah Anderson, of North Little Rock; his brother, Phillip Reed and his wife, Sandra of Sherwood; his son, Joey Thomas Stone and wife, Michelle; granddaughter, Lana Grace Stone, all of Little Rock; uncle, Allen Owens of Malvern; aunts, Jo Sherwood of Cleburne, Texas, Teri Walters of Malvern, Susan Owens of Benton; and numerous extended family members and friends whom he loved and who loved him.
Funeral service to celebrate his life will be held Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at McArthur Church on John Harden Drive in Jacksonville, Pastor Larry Burton presiding. Burial will be in Arkansas Memorial Gardens. A visitation is planned for Wednesday night from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 N. Main, 758-1170.
