Tommy Glenn Golden, 73, of Garland, Texas, passed away December 13, 2019. He was born October 1, 1946 in Hot Springs, Arkansas to Morlton and Lavern Golden. He graduated from Bismarck High School in 1964. He moved to Dallas where he found his calling in building maintenance. He collected coins, firearms and NASCAR memorabilia. Tommy loved his lake house on Lake Hamilton, he especially loved having his family over to fish and for cookouts.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Davis Golden, of Garland, TX; sons, Joe T. Golden (Nancy) of Prosper, TX; Tommy Byrns (Sherry) of Oklahoma City, OK; and Jeffrey Byrns (Jill) of Hot Springs, AR; daughter, Shannon Golden of Delight, AR; stepson, James Chinn of Garland, TX; sisters, Libby Bear (Wayne) of Caddo Valley, AR; Janet Berry (Michael) of Hot Springs, AR; and Debbie Koons (Brian) of Edmond, OK; brothers, Junior Golden (Janice) of Percy, AR; Randy Ridgway (Phyllis) of Huntsville, AR; and Ricky Ridgway (Donna) of Kingwood, WV; fifteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and one on the way; six nephews, one niece, five great-nephews and three great-nieces.
He was preceded in death by fathers, Morlton Golden and Walter Ridgway; mother, Lavern Ridgway; and brother, Philip Golden.
Visitation will be held 5:00 – 7:00 PM Monday, December 16, 2019 at Ruggles Wilcox Funeral Home, 517 Clay Street, Arkadelphia. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at the funeral home. Bros. Bernard Strother and Keith Thornton will be officiating.
Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens
