Tommie Nell Barnum Glanton, age 85, of North Little Rock, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on May 5, 2018, after a six year battle with cancer.
Born November 5, 1932 in Edgemont, Arkansas she lived in North Little Rock, Arkansas and worked at Timex Corporation continuing there for several years after her marriage in 1957. Tommie was an avid reader; a former member of the Arkansas Country Dance Society, and a strong Razorback football and basketball fan. She also enjoyed traveling and gardening.
Tommie was preceded in death by her parents Emil Brose Barnum and Bertha Marie Smith Barnum. Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Dwayne Glanton of North Little Rock; three sons, Mike Glanton and Eva Jean Bruce of Gallatin, Tennessee (and son Trevor Glanton); Darrell Glanton of Davenport, Iowa; daughter, Lisa Glanton, of North Little Rock; Byron Glanton and wife Sherry of Garfield, AR (and their three sons: Cory and wife Sara and children Josiah and Zander; Brandon of Denver, Colorado; and Nicholas of Fayetteville.) She is also survived by two sisters, Carol Kaffka of Little Rock and Lou Majors of Shiloh, Arkansas
Graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Shiloh Crossroads Cemetery, Higden, Arkansas. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to the American Cancer Society.
