Tom W. (Bill) Murphy Jr. age 62 of Bismarck, died Saturday, December 1, 2007 in Hot Springs. He was born December 7, 1944 in Humnoke, Arkansas, the son of the late Tom W. and Arvilla Murphy Sr.. Bill was U. S. Army Vietnam veteran, an employee for Scroll Technologies and a Baptist. A daughter, Shelly West preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Murphy; one son, Benny Turner Jr.; three daughters, Sharon Jackson; Valerie Pearson and Ella Heird; one sister, Margaret Carr and eleven grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6-8 PM Monday, December 3, at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at Caney Missionary Baptist Church near Bismarck with Elder Robert Cossey officiating. Burial will be in Caney Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Stan Perryman, William Tucker, Billy McBay, Tony Melugin, Nick Matthews and Lenny Hess. Memorials may be made to Caney Missionary Baptist Church.
