Toliece (Toddie) Dean

Toliece Dean, 88, of Arkadelphia, Arkansas passed from this life Thursday, February 21, 2019 from a sudden illness. Toddie (to her friends and family) was born to the late Guy and Charlotte (Wendall) Ferguson, in Fair Oaks, Arkansas, on October 27, 1930. Toddie, whom never met a stranger retired as a teller with Citizen’s Bank in Arkadelphia, a long-time member of the First Baptist Church of Arkadelphia, where she taught Sunday School for years, and was very active with the youth prison ministry.

Married 59 years to the love of her life Fred Dean, they shared three children, Rhonda Riggin, Jimmy (Cathy) Dean and Spike (Kristi) Dean; twelve grandchildren, Charla Geddes, Tim Golden, Matt Riggin, Christen Byrd, Andrea Dean, Ashten Dean, Jenni Tooman, Micah Dean, McKenzie Dean, Taylor Johnson, Tessa Johnson, Terra Johnson; and numerous great-grandchildren. Toddie, is preceded in death by three sisters, Imogene Jaggers, Ruby Harris, Anna Langston; two grandsons, Rusty Golden and Jordan Dean.

Visitation will be Monday, February 25, 2019 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Ruggles Wilcox Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 26, 2019 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Arkadelphia. Interment will be in Rison, Arkansas, at a later date.  Memorials can be made to Arkansas Baptist Children Home, 222 W Pope St. Monticello, AR. 71655 or Arkansas Children’s Hospital, 1 Children’s Way, Little Rock, Arkansas 72202.
