Toby White, 54, of Maumelle departed this life on Monday, October 26, 2015. Born on December 25, 1960 in Ruston, Louisiana, he was a local businessman who owned two oil and gas retail entities. Toby was a graduate of North Little Rock Northeast High School, Class of 1979, and attended Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas. Toby married the love of his life, Kimberly, on May 15, 1982, and together they raised their daughter and endless nieces and nephews. Toby is remembered as a dedicated husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend to all who knew him. An avid outdoorsman, Toby loved all forms of hunting and fishing. Among his other pursuits were attending NASCAR races nationwide, international travel to Europe, and annual trips to Montego Bay, Jamaica and Cancun, Mexico.
He is survived by his wife, Kimberly Jean White, of Maumelle; father, Jim (Peggy) White, of North Little Rock; daughter, Amber White, of Sherwood; siblings, Todd White, of Stuttgart; Terry (Angie) White and Tara (Mike) Williams, all of Maumelle; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Toby was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Terrill Gay.
A memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday at Smith - North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that persons donate to Maumelle Friends of the Animals or a charity of your choice. The Online obituary may be viewed at www.SmithFamilyCares.com .
