Timothy Roy Smith, age 54, of Hot Springs, passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2020.
He was born on July 2, 1966, in Newport, Arkansas, the son of Roy R. Smith and Sharon Collins Smith. He was preceded in death by his son, T. Cameron Smith.
Tim started his law enforcement career as a cadet at the Garland County Sheriff’s Department. He was employed at the Hot Springs Village Police Department and then went on to retire as a Sergeant in the Hot Springs Police Department. He was a wonderful son, father and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his parents, Roy and Sharon Smith; his son, Nathyn Smith; his daughters and son-in-law, Lauren and Zech Whitney and Lexi Smith; his sister, Tammy Smith, all of Hot Springs; his nephew, Wesley Smith and his spouse Tayler; niece, Sydni Smith; special family member, Uncle Bill Terry; and many good friends.
Memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, December 28, 2020, in the Lake Hills Free Will Baptist Church, 2344 Airport Road, Hot Springs, with Pastor Johnathan McEntire officiating. Social distancing directives will be in place with 66% capacity in the church and face covering must be worn.
Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs.
