Timothy Anthony

Tim Anthony, age 55, of North Little Rock died January 6th, 2015. He was born the 3rd of 4 children to Lehman and Pat Anthony on December 5th, 1959 into the psychedelic music age that forever made an impact on him. Born in Conway, Arkansas, Tim stayed in Arkansas his entire life. He graduated from Cabot High School in 1978 where he made numerous lifelong friends. He loved to fish, hike and explore Arkansas' many beautiful areas. Tim was a voracious reader of science fiction and avid film buff, especially of the unusual. His legendary knowledge of music, musicians and producers was encyclopedic. This vast knowledge was enhanced while working at Peaches Records for over 10 years where he turned on immeasurable amounts of people to the love of music. While working at UAMS for a period of time, Tim was able to put his "handyman" skills to good use assisting co-workers with challenging problems and forged even more lifelong relationships.
He was a self-trained virtuoso guitarist and bassist with an affinity for 60's and 70's rock which he performed with many local artists over the span of his life. He was happiest with the rejuvenating plasma of music coursing through him. Music and art were his calling, his passion and his life. Rarely did a day go by that he wasn't found with a guitar in his hands.
With his wife of 25 years, Rhonda "Arbie" Anthony, Tim explored the world of entrepreneur, confectioner, foodie, gardener and carpenter. Tim loved to make people laugh through his wit, art, music and confections. He was able to fulfill a dream of owning his own candy shop, Sweet, where he become the very essence of Willy Wonka.
Tim is survived by his wife, Rhonda "Arbie" Broaddus Anthony, parents, Lehman Anthony and Patsy Session Anthony, brother, Steve (Kathy) Anthony, sister, Sheree (Billie) Robins, sister, Sandy (Hutch) Anthony-Hutchins, loving in-laws, nieces, nephews, a host of long-time friends, and fur-babies, Natasha and Jett.
Tim, you will be sorely missed. The impact you had on everyone you encountered is tremendous and far reaching. You truly did make the sun rise with your infectious smile. You will not be forgotten for you will live on through your legacy of music, art, and forever in our hearts.
Service to be held on Saturday, January 17, 2015, 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM, Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, Tim would be grateful if donations would be made to the Sherwood Animal Shelter or to Sandy Anthony-Hutchins to aid in her animal rescue efforts.
