Tim Lemons,

July 24, 1935 — March 16, 2007

Tim Lemons,

We will miss a dear man, Tim F. Lemons, Jr., 71, married to his beloved wife, Ella, for 54 years. He was a wonderful father and mentor to his four children, Nathel, Art, Tim III and Cindy. His six grandchildren, Michael, Johnny, Jamie, Ryan, Jason and Ridley will miss their grandfather dearly. His more recent additions to the family were Caden and Isabelle, his great-grandchildren. Tim's two sisters, Norma and Patricia, will greatly miss their brother.
He was born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, and after graduating high school, served in the Air Force for eight years and was known for developing certain communications for the Minute Man missiles as well as launching them. After the Air Force, Tim worked for the Federal Government as an electronics engineer until retiring in 1986 from Pt. Mugu Naval Base in southern California.
After retiring, Tim and Ella bought a home in Pueblo, Colorado and lived there for many years. He always had a bug to go somewhere, so they sold their Colorado home, bought a motorhome and traveled all over the United States, Canada and Alaska. Eventually needing a place to call home, they decided to hang their hat in northern California for a few years until settling down for good in Alexander, Arkansas.
Tim was known as the "go to guy," he could fix anything, a real "do-it-yourselfer," and always helping anyone who needed help. Some of his hobbies were making jewelry, wood-working and mining crystals that he and Ella dug up themselves. He enjoyed giving these items as gifts to family and friends.
He loved teaching what he knew about hunting and fishing to his children, grandchildren and friends. He also enjoyed telling stories of his childhood with an added sense of humor that kept his family and especially his grandkids intrigued for hours.
The Cornerstone of the Family will be deeply missed.
