On the evening of May 10, 2024, Thomas Wolf of Hot Springs, Arkansas passed away peacefully after battling MDS (myelodysplastic syndrome) for almost two years. Thomas was born in Cambria, Pennsylvania to Lloyd and Hazel Wolf on January 14, 1944. He spent most of his childhood moving around the country as his father served in the army as a bomb expert. He spent most of his adult life in Southern California. He retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company and he and his wife, Minnie, moved to Arkansas in 2002 where they lived on Lake Greeson in the small town of Daisy, Arkansas. They later moved to Hot Springs where they attended First Baptist Church of Hot Springs.
Thomas was a star athlete in both high school and college claiming the state champion title in Wrestling at both levels. He joined the army in 1964 and became a member of the Special Forces Division, an elite group of soldiers known as the “Green Berets.” After serving four years in the Army he settle in Southern California. He retired to Arkansas where he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed bowling every Monday morning in a local bowling league. He was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Hot Springs volunteering as a door opener, Sunday school helper, security team member and much more. He was most proud of his time spent helping with the Rock Steady Boxing program. A program that provides a uniquely effective form of physical exercise to people who are living with Parkinson’s.
He is preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Arthur Wolf, his mom Hazel Hellman-Wolf, his sister, Gene Beaman, and brother Lloyd Wolf.
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Minnie Wolf of Hot Springs; two children, Chadde Wolf (Sara) of Vermont, and his children Allison and Logan; Tahmy Moore of Arkansas, and her children, Tatum, Taylor (Anthony and son Barrett Thomas), and Trinity; three stepchildren, Gordon Trimble of California, his children Jerry, Christopher, and Deanne; Traci Schrempf (Bruce) of California and her children Ashley (son Kyre) and Zachery; David Trimble of California; two brothers Bill Wolf (Mollie) of Texas, and Ray Wolf (Nancy) of Washington; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and a host of wonderful friends
Pallbearers: Chadde Wolf, Logan Wolf, Anthony Bernardez, Bob Biles, Bill Garner and Norman Mason.
Services will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at First Baptist Church of Hot Springs, with a visitation beginning at 10:00am and the services following at 11:00am. Interment will be at Mount Joy Cemetery located in Daisy Arkansas, with US Army military honors being presented.
