Thomas Joseph Tucker, 78, of Traskwood, Arkansas passed away January 12, 2021. He was born June 28, 1942 in Traskwood, Arkansas to the late James L. and Theda (Westbrook) Tucker.
Tommy loved the Lord and was an avid Bible reader. He was a member of Traskwood United Methodist Church. Tommy was affectionately called “Papaw Tommy” by every single kid who knocked on his door. He was an amazing Dad to all his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Tommy loved spending time camping and fishing with his sons. He looked forward to going to the deer woods each fall with the Cooper Clan. This past year he remodeled a camper with his wife, Doris, and his son. Although reluctant at first, Tommy became hooked on searching for hidden treasures at flea markets and yard sales with his wife, Doris. He was always on the go and liked to stay busy. Tommy had a huge heart and was always ready to assist anyone in need. When his help was requested, he was putting on his shoes before the request was complete. He put his love into action and was a wonderful husband, father, papaw, and friend.
Preceding Tommy in death are his parents, and great-grandson, David Tucker.
Tommy leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of sixty years, Doris M. Tucker of Traskwood, Arkansas; four children: Thomas Layne Tucker and wife Peggy of Benton, Arkansas, James L. Tucker and wife Sharon of Glen Rose, Arkansas, Kevin Tucker of Traskwood, Arkansas, and Tammy Moore and husband Kevan of North Little Rock, Arkansas; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; sister, Sandra LaBee and husband Ken of Benton, Arkansas; best friend of many years, Delbert Cooper and wife Linda of Glen Rose, Arkansas; and many family members and friends who love Thomas and will miss him always.
Graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, January 15 at Traskwood Cemetery. COVID-19 Directives: masks required, and social distancing maintained. Assisting as pallbearers are Steve Still, Rick Still, Scott Bray, Randall Raper, Morgan Pierce, Danny Raper, and Jarred Morgan. Honorary pallbearers are Dwight Morrison, Rob Morrison, Brian Cooper, Kevin Cooper, and Richard Cooper.
