Thomas Trickey, 87, of North Little Rock, died on September 18, 2014. Tom retired as a captain from the Little Rock Fire Department, barber, head of maintenance at Riley's nursing homes, and was a WWII Navy veteran. He is survived by four children Janis Clements, Tom, Scott, and Mark Trickey, ten grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Thomas Henry Trickey and Mary Olive (Clark) Trickey and his siblings Earnest, WJ "Dub", Florence "Sis", and an infant child Jocelyn. Tom said some of his favorite memories were of the family traveling to sing hymns at churches when he was a child. He left high school to join the Navy at the end of WWII when he returned he completed his education graduating from Beebe High School. He will be forever remembered for his white hair, quick wit, and booming voice that all found endearing. A special thanks to his caregivers at Mt. Carmel Assisted Living Center and Alcoa Pines Nursing Home.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St, 501-758-1170. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Cabot. Online obituary and guest registry at
