Thomas "Tommy" Wayne Jones, II

Thomas ‘Tommy’ Wayne Jones II was set free from this earth on August 4, 2022, at the age of 41.  He is survived by his parents, LaVerne and Carl Reynolds; his wife, Christa; his daughter, Braden (Jacob); granddaughter, Opal; his son, Bradley (Madison); sisters, Terri Rice (Johnny) and Carol Davidson (Robbin); and beloved nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his father, Thomas; and grandparents, Ralph and Orland Burns and Dallas and Elsie Jones.

Tommy was born April 1, 1981 in Little Rock, Arkansas.  He joined the Arkansas Army National Guard in 2003 and served until 2007.  Tommy earned his journeyman electrical license in 2006 and worked to build the skyline of Little Rock in the construction and electrical trades.  After the death of his wife Mary in 2010, Tommy earned his master’s electrical license and started his own company, Jones Electric.  On March 7, 2015, Tommy married the love of his life, Christa, and became the father of two amazing children, Braden and Bradley.  In 2016, Tommy earned an Associate of General Studies from Arkansas State University-Beebe.  In 2019, he earned an Associate of Science in Liberal Arts and Sciences from the University of Arkansas – Pulaski Technical College.  At the time of his death, Tommy was completing a Bachelor of Professional Studies in Construction and would have earned his degree in December 2022.

Tommy was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend.  He loved to be outdoors, was a talented electrician, and could fix anything.  He had a beautiful mind and could write the most eloquent works and debate life with the best of them.  He was a jokester and loved to play tricks on his loved one’s every year on his birthday, April Fool’s Day.  Tommy was a talented musician and loved to play guitar and sing.  He loved hard and deeply and just wanted to be there for his family and friends.

Tommy battled with mental illness his entire life.  He was so incredibly strong and fought every day to be the best man he could be for everyone in his life.  For those who knew him best, they understood his strength and determination to overcome the struggles he faced.  Tommy was a faithful Christian and strived to understand God’s plan for him.  He was a source of strength for his entire family, an amazing father to his children, and a best friend and confidant to his wife.  Tommy is incredibly loved and missed by his family, friends, and all that knew him.
