Thomas Alex Ray

Thomas Alex Ray, 51, of Sherwood died unexpectedly on May 3, 2023 in Bowling Green, Missouri.  He was born November 18, 1971 in Chattanooga, Tennessee to the late Perrye (Brown) and Manuel Ray. 

Tommy proudly served in the U.S. Marines as a combat vet during Desert Storm and also served in Somalia.  He was currently employed with Yunker Industries Inc. and often traveled with his job.  Tommy was an avid Alabama fan, “ROLL TIDE” and enjoyed watching them play ball.

Survivors include two children, Amber Ray and Alex Ray (Daun) and their mother, Lisa Ray; three precious grandchildren:  Carmen, AudreyKate and Alizabeth; and his siblings:  Jeremy Willis (Sandy), Jonathan Willis (Wendy), Tammy Lyda and Jacob Ray; and several extended family members. 

Visitation is 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home.  Funeral is 10:00 AM Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at the funeral home with Bishop Joel Holmes officiating.   Interment with military honors will begin at 12:00 PM, Wednesday at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.

Pallbearers include:  Amber Ray, Alex Ray, Jeremy Willis, Jay Dollar, Dub Looper, Jacob Ray and Mark Ray.
