Thomas Jacob Phillips

Thomas Jacob Phillips, born on November 19, 2004, in Jacksonville, Arkansas, was a vibrant soul who brought joy and laughter to those around him. It is with heavy hearts that we announce his untimely passing on February 5, 2024.

Thomas was an extraordinary individual who embraced life with enthusiasm and a zest for adventure. He was a graduate of North Little Rock High School, Class of 2023. Thomas's love for wrestling made him shine on the mat, where he displayed remarkable skill and dedication. His passion for the sport was evident to all who watched him compete.

Alongside his academics and athletic pursuits, Thomas had an exciting new path unfolding before him. He was eagerly anticipating his upcoming career as an apprentice in the Millwright Union. Thomas had an unyielding determination and an unwavering commitment to achieving his goals. These milestones symbolized his perseverance and determination to succeed. Thomas tackled every challenge head-on, displaying unwavering strength and resilience throughout his journey.

Outside of his studies and aspirations, Thomas found solace and happiness in spending time with his loved ones. Together with his brother John, he created cherished memories at Pinnacle Mountain. They shared countless adventures there and appreciated the beauty of nature while hiking through its trails. Thomas's beloved dogs, Gypsy, Koda, and Luna, were always by his side during these joyful outings.

Family meant everything to Thomas, and he relished every moment spent in their company. He had a contagious energy that brightened everyone's spirits. Thomas's protective nature extended beyond blood ties - he cared deeply for anyone fortunate enough to cross paths with him. His quick wit and unique sense of humor never failed to leave a lasting impression on those who knew him best.

Intelligence radiated from Thomas effortlessly; he possessed a sharp mind that constantly sought knowledge and understanding. His generous heart knew no limits; he would willingly give someone his last dollar if they were in need. Thomas's compassion made him a pillar of support for both family and friends, a role he cherished dearly.

Thomas found great pleasure in various activities. He adored spending time with his family and could often be found playing video games. Athletics played a significant role in Thomas's life, whether it was running, playing basketball, or indulging in the discipline of boxing. Thomas especially enjoyed cruising around town in his car. These pursuits allowed him to channel his energy while pushing himself to new limits.

Thomas will forever remain in the hearts of those who survive him. He leaves behind his loving parents, William and Renee Phillips; his devoted brother, John Henry Major; his aunt Jessica Cherry; uncle Jeremy Stone and his wife Mary Jane; aunt Roxanne Deane and her husband Rick; grandparents James and Kathryn Phillips; cousins Zackery Henley, Benjamin Henley, Christiana Dominguez, Nicole Henley, Kiersten Stone, and Haley Stone.

In Thomas's passing, he is reunited with his beloved grandparents Martha Shetron and Craig Holzinger, as well as his great-grandparents John and Gene Shetron. Though their physical presence may be lost, their spirits will forever guide Thomas's family through the dark times.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Smith Family Funeral Home - North Little Rock located at 1921 Main Street, North Little Rock, AR 72114. It is an opportunity for family members, friends, and all those touched by Thomas's life to pay their respects and share beautiful memories of him. A private family burial will take place on a separate date. 

Thomas Jacob Phillips was a bright light extinguished too soon from this world. He left an indelible mark on those who had the honor of knowing him intimately. As we mourn his loss, let us also celebrate the life he lived and the impact he had on each of us. His memory will forever be cherished, and his spirit will continue to inspire us to live life to the fullest, embracing every moment with passion and love. May Thomas's soul rest in eternal peace.
