Thomas H. Maher, 90, of Sherwood, passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2007. He was born October 2, 1916 in Oil City, Pennsylvania, the son of Charles A. and Mary Emma (Kaufman) Maher. He retired from the Veterans Administration after 27 years of service. Mr. Maher was a member of St. Mary?s Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, and a World War II Army Veteran.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Evelyn (Helfer) Maher; two sons, Martin Maher of Raleigh, North Carolina and David Maher of Sherwood; one daughter, Rita Miller of Sycamore, Illinois; four grandchildren, Jennifer and Jeffrey Maher, Chelsea and Logan Miller; a brother, Charles Maher of Arkansas; four sisters, Margaret Burns of Upper Montclaire, New Jersey, Eunice Maher of Kansas City, Kansas, Josephine Murrett of Buffalo, New York, and Jean France of Kansas City, Kansas.
Mr. Maher was predeceased by brother, Fred; and three sisters, Anna Marie, Lucille, and Emma.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at St. Mary?s Catholic Church. Burial will be at 9:00 a.m. Monday in Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
