Thomas G. Hammond, 61, of Little Rock, surrounded by his daughter, Jennifer Hammond, his brother, Ralph Hammond and sister-in-law, Terri, his mother, Ruth Hammond and members of his beloved Bahai faith, passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2009 after a courageous battle with Parkinson's disease. He was sent off with prayers and good wishes.
In addition to his daughter, Jennifer and brother, Ralph and wife, Terri, Tommy is survived by his brother, Richard Hammond and wife, Leslie; mother, Ruth Stowers Hammond; nieces, Lisa Hoggard (Skip) and Lauri Bhagat (Amit); nephews, Dustin Hammond and Jacob Hammond; great-nieces, Marlee Hoggard, Anjali Bhagat; and great-nephew, Aadi Bhagat.
Services will be Friday, February 27 at 2:00 p.m. at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.), Little Rock, conducted by the Spiritual Assembly of Baha'is of Little Rock. The family will greet friends prior to the service, beginning at 1:30 p.m. Burial will follow in the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock.
