Thomas Goins

Thomas Jutson Goins Jr, 80 of Sherwood passed away at his residence on Saturday, April 4, 2009. He was born on September 4, 1928 In Goose Creek, TX; he was the son of Thomas Goins Sr., and Elizabeth Anderson Goins. Thomas was retired from the United States Department of Defense and was a United States Air Force Veteran of the Korean War. He worked all over the world and flew with the Texas National Guard, and served as a Civilian Technical Representative in Vietnam. Thomas will be remembered as a wonderful, husband, father, and grandfather. He is preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter, and a sister Barbara Waller. Survivors include his wife Nina Goins of Sherwood; children Debra Goins, Jeff (Debi) Fricks, Mary Fricks, and Chris Fricks; grandsons Kyle (Ericka) Fricks, and Kendall Fricks, a great granddaughter Macey Fricks, and a brother Joe (Ruby) Goins of Diboll, TX. Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 10, 2009 at Arkansas State Veteran's Cemetery in North Little Rock with Jim Williford officiating.
