Theodore Lobley

Theodore “Ted” Lobley, 88, of Medina, Ohio, formerly of Cabot, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2024, with his daughters and other family by his side.

Ted was born on May 17, 1936, to Budd and Marion Tenney Lobley in White River Junction, Vermont. His family moved to Ellsworth, Maine when he was eighteen months old. He attended Ellsworth High School where he graduated in 1954. After graduation from high school, Ted joined the United States Air Force and was stationed at Little Rock Air Force Base in Jacksonville, Arkansas where he met his first wife, Lynda. Ted and Lynda shared three children together, Cathy, Kimberly, and Kelli. 

In 1974, Ted married Anice Dozier Lobley and in doing that, was blessed with a bonus daughter, Kelley. They shared 41 years of marriage until her passing in 2015.

Ted retired in 2015, and sometime after this, reunited with his high school sweetheart, Anitra Lilly. He and Anitra shared nine wonderful years together until his passing.

After serving ten years in the United States Air Force, Ted worked as a truck driver hauling mobile homes, at National Swage, Continental Trailways, and Walmart as a driver. These jobs carried him all over the United States, which he enjoyed. He was known by his Walmart family as “Snowshoe”. 

Ted was predeceased by his parents, his loving wife, Anice Lobley, a sister, Emma Jane Lobley Regele, son-in-law, Butch Dougherty, and granddaughter, Sydney Shumate. He is survived by daughters, Cathy Dougherty (Mike) of Cabot, AR, Kimberly Hill (Mark) of Paron, AR, Kelli Lobley of Fayetteville, AR, and Kelley Chambless (Donny) of Heber Springs, AR, and special friend and companion, Anitra Lilly, He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and a great number of friends. 

Ted’s family would like to extend eternal appreciation to Anitra Lilly for her care and support of Ted during the last nine years. 

Visitation will be held at North Little Rock Funeral on Saturday, December 14, 2024, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. He will receive military honors at the funeral home at 2:30pm.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Kidney Fund at https://www.kidneyfund.org/. As many of you know, Ted was a dialysis patient for the past five years.
