Thelma Ray

Thelma Ray, 86, of Beebe, Arkansas, was born September 1, 1929 in the Opal community, to Rupert and Mary (Parks) Hill, and she died Thursday, February 4, 2016.
She was a member of Union Valley Baptist Church, and was a retired operator for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company.

She is survived by two sisters, Lorene Scheer of Searcy and Jane Payne of Dardanelle; one sister-in-law, Willa Dean Hill of Silsbee, Texas; and eleven nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Neil Ray; two brothers, Bill Tom Hill and Dean Hill; two sisters, Mary Bernice Weatherford and Melba Manasco.

Family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 6, 2016, at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe, with funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Mountain Springs Cemetery, Hwy 5. Memorials may be made to Union Valley Baptist Church, 932 Hwy. 64 W., Beebe, AR 72012. Arrangements by Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home.
