Theda Ross Aud of Arkadelphia, passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2018 in Arkadelphia. She was born July 20, 1936 in Arkadelphia to the late Earl and Lorena Nobles Ross. She was raised in Gurdon where she graduated from Gurdon High School and then Henderson State Teachers College in Arkadelphia. She taught school in the Gurdon and Arkadelphia School Districts for fifteen years.

Theda was very active in her community, serving as a member of the Clark County Historical Association, Arkadelphia Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution, Baptist Health Hospital Auxiliary, Arkadelphia Area Chamber of Commerce and trustee/ secretary for the Olds Foundation in Amity, Arkansas. She was a member of Arkadelphia First Baptist Church and the Friendship Sunday School Class.

Theda held several different offices in local and national organizations serving on many different committees, including president of the Arkansas Hospital Auxiliary Association and chair of the American Hospital Association Committee on Volunteers. Theda was also honored to be named Woman of the Year by the Atlanta, Texas area Chamber of Commerce and with the Sandra Wilson Cherry Award for leadership and community service by the Gaines House.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Millard Aud and a sister Roena Timmons.

Survivors are two sons, Greg Aud (Amy) of Arkadelphia, AR., Mike Aud (Pam) of Andalusia, Alabama; two grandsons, Hayden Aud of Maumalle, AR., Jacob Guidry (Ashley) of Malvern, AR.; one granddaughter, Olivia Aud of Maumelle, AR.; two sisters-in-law, Ella Ruth Reeder of Arkadelphia, AR. And Earlene Arnold (Dub) of Hot Springs, AR. and brother-in-law, Tommy Aud (Estelle) of Plano, Texas.

Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, December 8th at First Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Darby officiating. Visitation will be 1:00 PM Saturday until service at the church. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.
