Terry Wayne “Hootie” Faulkner, Sr., 61, of Little Rock, Arkansas passed away January 20, 2022. He was born May 2, 1960 in Little Rock to Lloyd Gene Faulkner and the late Velma Mae (Vandiver) Johnson.
Hootie was the life of the party. His favorite times were spent around the campfire with his family and friends. He loved spending time outdoors in the woods, hunting, camping, running dogs, and fishing. Hootie was an amazing cook and made the best fried rabbit and shrimp. He loved his children, grandchildren, family and friends more than anything.
Preceding Hootie in death are his mother, Velma Johnson; granddaughter, Kadynce Faulkner; and Rose Faulkner.
He leaves behind his son, T.J. Faulkner; daughters: Amanda Faulkner and Judy Faulkner; grandchildren: Juliaunna, Zechariah, Mason, Kynslee, Tucker, and Banner; sister, Rhonda Rushing; father, Lloyd Faulkner; brother, Michael Faulkner; and many family members and friends who love Hootie and will miss him always.
Services will be held Wednesday, January 26 at Smith-Benton Funeral Home with visitation held 10-11 AM, followed by funeral service at 11:00 AM. Burial following at Ida Mission Cemetery in Little Rock.
Assisting as pallbearers are Cody Lockert, Chris “Lightening” Davis, Gary Small, Jacob Osborne, Terry Osborne and Richard Jones. Honorary pallbearers are Wesley Thurber, Teddy McVay, and James Lockert.
