Terry P. Diggs, age 66, of Bonnerdale, passed away on Monday, June 20, 2022.

 

He was born on April 9, 1956, in Bonnerdale, the son of Clara M. Diggs.  He is preceded in death by his mother; his first wife, Jan Diggs; and one grandson, William Grady Diggs. 

 

In addition to being a kind and gentle father and husband, he served as a faithful member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in the roles of song leader and Sunday School teacher.  His one claim to fame was that he once told stories with Jerry Clower.  For over 40 years he served the people of this community by providing competent, affordable legal services. 

 

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Tammie Diggs of Bonnerdale; two sons and daughter-in-law, Will and Ashley Diggs of Lonsdale and Andy Diggs of Bonnerdale; one daughter, Hannah Diggs of Bonnerdale; three grandchildren, Gracie Diggs, J’Amauri Diggs and Gus Diggs; extended family and a host of wonderful friends.

 

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, June 25, 2022, with Bro. Will Diggs and Bro. Dale Hamilton officiating in the Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs.

 

Interment will be in the Grants Chapel Cemetery, Bonnerdale.

 

Visitation will be 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Friday evening.

 

Pallbearers are Carroll Ray Diggs, Darren Swisher, David Swisher, David Robbins, John Robbins, and Doyce Robbins.

 

Honorary pallbearers are Benny Collier, John Swisher and the Garland County Legal Community.
