Teena DeJesus

Teena DeJesus

Some people only walk this earth for a short time. Their departure reminds us that angels are watching over us. Teena DeJesus (Denson), age 57 went home to be with Jesus and her daddy on July 29, 2021. She was born on August 2, 1963, in Malvern, Arkansas to John Daniel Denson and Lois Simpson Denson.

Teena was always true to her faith, there was never any doubt how much she loved Jesus. Teena loved to dance, crochet, and talk on the telephone. Most importantly she loved her children and grandchildren. They always grew up knowing that they could go right to their momma no questions asked.

Later in life Teena worked at The Heritage Company with special projects such as MADD and Special Olympics. She also worked for S & G Distributors. Teena always had a love for talking on the phone and she was good at it. There was a picture taken of her when she was about 2 years old with a little phone to her ear. It was because of that picture being made of why she loved talking on the phone.

Teena will always be remembered as a kind loving person. She was true to who she was. She never took a single day for granted. Even on the days she did not feel good she still would Praise God for all the wonderful things she had in her life.

Teena was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She adored her children and embraced every moment with them. She absolutely loved being a Granny. Teena made friends everywhere she went because of her bright personality that always shined.

Teena is preceded in death by her Daddy John Daniel Denson, stepsister, Janet Parkman Stamper, and stepbrother, Randy Parkman. Survivors include her son, Joseph Sanders; and her daughter Tiffany Bristow (Speaker) and husband Roy; 7 grandchildren, Tiffany’s: Gregory Speaker and Hunter Pittman and Joseph’s: Dexter, Mitchell, Emma, Kendrah and Olivia Sanders. Other survivors include her mother, Lois Simpson Denson; siblings, John Denson, Tammy Stone, Pam Shelnut; Godly sister, Deana Deskin; stepsister, Trudy Parkman; aunts, uncles and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Also survived is her little pet companion Faith who she loved and cherished so much!

Her children would like for anyone and everyone who ever loved and cared about their mom attend a celebration of her life at 11:00am, Monday, August 16, 2021, at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service.

Therefore, I will look unto the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me. Micah 7:7
