Tammie Price, a beloved member of her community and a devoted caregiver, passed away on March 24, 2025, in Greenbrier, Arkansas, at the age of 54. Born on July 3, 1970, in Little Rock, Arkansas, Tammie's indomitable spirit and loving nature touched the lives of many, especially the children she dedicated her life to caring for. From the tender age of 16, Tammie embarked on a journey in childcare that would define her career. With an unwavering heart for children, she continued to work in this field throughout her life, always placing their needs above her own. Tammie's genuine and sweet disposition made her a cherished caregiver, and her ability to connect with others set her apart. She was a talkative person who never met a stranger, and even in her most quiet moments, her creativity would shine through as she conjured up unique words to express herself.
Tammie was a woman of deep faith, having been raised attending Mt. Moriah United Pentecostal Church. Her connection to her faith remained strong, as she later became a member of the Pentecostals of Greenbrier. Throughout her life, she cherished her relationship with the Lord and instilled this love in those around her. In addition to her heartfelt work and faith, Tammie was an avid reader who had a special fondness for the Trixie Belden series. Her love for music was evident; she could skillfully play multiple instruments, including the accordion, tambourine, guitar, bass, and piano, bringing joy to all who heard her sing. Tammie's hobbies reflected her vibrant personality, and her joyful spirit resonated with everyone she encountered. She graduated from Joe T. Robinson High School in 1988 and furthered her education at Capital City College. One of Tammie's proudest accomplishments was her close-knit family, which meant everything to her. She leaves behind her loving mother, Mary Price, and her supportive brother, Billy Price, along with her cherished nephews: Christian, Riley, Micah, and Ethan Price. Tammie's father, Elmer Bill Price, has preceded her in death, but his memory lives on in the hearts of her family.
Tammie also shared her home with two beloved cats, Otto and Katie, who provided her with companionship and joy. Her caring and nurturing personality extended beyond family and friends, enveloping her pets with the love she so freely offered to everyone in her life.
Family and friends are invited to honor Tammie's remarkable life and cherish her memory during the visitation, which will be held on April 3, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service starting at 1:00 PM at Smith Family Funeral Home in North Little Rock, Arkansas. Tammie will be laid to rest at Kennerly Cemetery in Roland, Arkansas, at 3:00 PM the same day.
As we remember Tammie Price, let us celebrate her boundless love for children, her unwavering faith, and her ability to brighten the lives of everyone she met. She leaves an enduring legacy of kindness, compassion, and joy, which will continue to inspire us all.
