Tami "TR" Renae Curry

Tami “TR” Renae Curry, 57, died of a massive heart attack on September 11, 2024. She was born January 31, 1967, in Little Rock, Arkansas.

She was the office manager at Curry’s Pest Control in Pine Bluff, after working at the Little Rock office of her family’s business. She also previously worked as a 911 dispatcher for many years, and as security at Arkansas Children’s Hospital.

Tami loved her rock n’ roll, and made it a mission to go to as many concerts as she could. Alone, or with friends, she was just happy to be there. She would always try to make you laugh, and if you ever got a birthday card from her, you can guarantee it was inappropriate and funny. She never missed an opportunity to dog sit and absolutely adored all of her furry friends including Prissy, Rosie, Sassy, and Layla. Of all of her achievements and things she enjoyed, her greatest treasure was being “Mami” to her grandkids. 

She is survived by her daughter, Cathi Barnhart (Chris); and three grandchildren, Sadie, Brantley, and Eli of Greenbrier, Arkansas. She is also survived by her parents, Owen H. Jr. and Linda Curry of Little Rock; sisters, Lisa Bankston (Paul) and Tammy Pinney (Scott) of Conway, Arkansas; half-sister, Leslie Reynolds; and half-brother, Jimmy Reynolds of Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her uncle and best friend, Joe Carter.

The visitation will be from 5-6pm, and Celebration of Life will follow from 6-7pm on Tuesday, September 17th, 2024 at East Union Missionary Baptist Church- 20422 North Springlake Rd. Hensley, Arkansas 72065. 

Interment will be at Old Texas Cemetery in Guy, Arkansas, at a later date, to be announced online when available.
