Taliyah McGhee

Taliyah McGhee age 10 of Donaldson died Thursday as a result of an auto accident near Bay St. Louis, MS. She was born in Arkadelphia August 9, 2001 the daughter of Kevin Newborn and Fawna Grider Matthews. She was a student at Ouachita Elementary School. She was active in sports, enjoyed fishing and hunting, enjoyed barrel racing and was a member of the Rockin U Roundup Club.

Survivors include her mother and step-father Fawna and Nick Matthews of Donaldson, her father, Kevin Newborn of Arkadelphia, three sisters, Katie, Paige, and Krista Matthews all of Donaldson, maternal grandmother, Rhea Perry, paternal grandparents, Richard and Charlotte Matthews, Karen and George Garcia, Greg McGhee and Glenny Williams, and great-grandmother, Ida Mae Sealy.

Funeral services will be 2 PM Sunday in the Friendship Baptist Church with Pastor Hollis McDermott officiating. Burial will be in the Ouachita Cemetery near Donaldson. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Saturday at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia.
