It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Sylvia Gayle (Leasure) Cannon, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She departed this world on August 19th, 2023, surrounded by the warmth of her family's love.

Born on April 29th, 1942, Gayle lived a life filled with grace, compassion, and unwavering love. She touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her wisdom, gentleness, and genuine interest in others made her a confidante and a source of comfort to countless friends and family members.

In addition to her boundless love and nurturing spirit, Gayle will be remembered for her many unique and endearing expressions that brought laughter and joy to those around her. From her playful witticisms to her heartwarming words of wisdom, she had a way of turning phrases that left an indelible mark on our hearts. Whether it was her trademark saying that never failed to elicit a smile or a comforting piece of advice offered in times of need, her expressive language was a reflection of her vibrant personality and added an extra layer of warmth to every interaction. These cherished phrases will forever echo in our memories, reminding us of the remarkable woman she was and the love she shared with us all.

Gayle leaves behind a legacy that will forever be carried in the hearts of her son, Bradley M. Cannon (Brad); beloved sister, Linda Earles; brother, Harry Leasure; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She joins in eternal rest with her late husband, William A. Cannon (Bill) and her son, William K. Cannon (Kendall).

A celebration of Gayle's life will be held on Saturday, 8-26-23 at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main Street, North Little Rock, AR 72114. Family visitation from 11:00-12:00; Public Visitation from 12:00-1:00; Funeral Ceremony from 1:00-2:00. Gayle will be laid to rest in Searcy, AR at the White County Memorial Gardens; no burial services will be held.

Though she may be absent from our sight, her memory will forever remain a guiding light in our hearts.
