Sydnie Madison Reedy, 22, of Cabot went to be with her Lord on Saturday, June 6, 2020. She was born October 5, 1997 in North Little Rock, Arkansas. She was a member of Cabot Church of Christ, where she was loved so dearly.
Sydnie had an amazing personality and she lit up any room she walked into. She was beautiful inside and out, a ball of fun, and made everyone around her smile. She loved being goofy and joking around—she could always make us laugh!
Basketball was her love, and she worked hard to become the best she could be, just as she did in every facet of her life. As driven as she was to be her best, she didn’t take life too seriously, and that drew people to her precious spirit.
She is survived by her parents, Scott and Jennifer Malcom Reedy; sister, Taylor Holiman (Tyler); nephew, Matthew Holiman; grandparents, Nancy Reedy Zeller (Harold), Judy Neal (Marcus Terry), Ray Malcom (Linda); great-aunt, Katie Gibbins Whitfield (Elwood); two uncles, Aaron Reedy (Jamie), Joshua Reedy; aunt, Gretchen Coven (Chris) and many cousins and countless friends. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Freddie Thomas Reedy and her great-uncle “Joe Joe” Joe Gibbons.
We would like to offer our sincere gratitude and love to Dr. Kimo Stine and Dr. Kevin Bielamowicz and staff at Arkansas Children’s Hospital, and to Dr. Wafik Zaky and staff at UT MD Anderson Cancer Center. Lastly, to our dear friend and bonus family member, our angel of a neurosurgeon, Dr. David Sandberg at Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital. He has been a constant friend and tremendous support throughout our journey. We love you so, and we are eternally grateful for you.
Visitation 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, June 12, 2020 at Cabot Church of Christ; Service is 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 13, 2020 at the church. Burial will be at Cleburne County Memorial Gardens.
AR COVID-19 directives: Face coverings required. Maintain social distancing.
Out of consideration of the Reedy family and all of the friends and family attending the funeral, we ask that everyone attending please wear a mask at the visitation and funeral. Live stream of the funeral will be provided at www.cabotchurch.com for anyone who is unable to attend.
