Suzanne Elizabeth Heidelberg

  Suzanne Elizabeth Heidelberg passed peacefully from this world on May 25, 2020. She is preceded in death by her husband, Harry Whitlowe Heidelberg and her parents, Lyle Orlando Hill and Geraldine Starner Hill.

  She leaves behind daughters Lyndi (Rob) Gregory of Sherwood, Laurie (Robert) Johnson of North Little Rock; and son, Rick Heidelberg of Beebe; 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, and 2 sisters, Virginia (William L.) Jones of Scott, Arkansas and Julie (Ramey F.) Kemp of Raleigh, North Carolina, and nieces and nephews.

  Suzy was born in Chicago, Illinois on June 18, 1938, where she lived until 1946 when her family moved to Jacksonville, Arkansas. Suzy graduated from Jacksonville High School in 1957. She attended the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts Degree.

  She married Harry Heidelberg in 1958. Their family resided in Missouri, Kentucky, North Carolina, and Tennessee before permanently settling in Sherwood, Arkansas in 1970 where they lived the remainder of their lives.

  Suzy and Harry were avid golfers, winning many tournaments and club championships around the state over the years. As UA Alumni, they were extremely passionate Razorback sports fans. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be forever missed by all who knew and loved her.

  She and her husband were members of Park Hill Presbyterian Church in North Little Rock for many years. A ceremony honoring her will be held at their church at 1:00PM, Friday, June 3. Her final resting place will be with her husband in the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock, Arkansas. In Lieu of plants and flowers, the family requests donations be made to Pulaski County Humane Society in her memory.
