Sutah Hardage

Sutah Hardage, age 92, of Bismarck, passed away Saturday, July 26, 2014. in Arkadelphia. She was born February 9, 1922 to Charlie and Flora Clingan Holder in the Hearn community of Clark County. On March 11, 1939, she married Hayden "Honeyboy" Hardage of Bismarck, where the couple farmed and reared children. She was wife, mother, homemaker and seamstress, always ready to share her time, knowledge and talents. She was of Pentecostal faith and attended church faithfully as long as her health allowed. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a sister Flossie Wilks, three brothers, Olen, Alfred, and Austin Holder, three sons, infant Donald Ray Hardage, Benny Joe Hardage Sr., and Harold Dean Hardage, one daughter-in-law, Janie Rimmer Hardage, and a granddaughter, Trinity Hardage.

Survivors include sisters, Lorene (Don) Teague of Caney and Laverne (Charles) Todd of Arkadelphia, two sons, Paul (Nancy) Hardage of Amity, and Gary (Elaine) Hardage of Bismarck, three daughters, Donna McCloud of Bismarck, Norma (Troy) Cruse of Benton, and Phyllis Mayo of Bismarck, two daughters-in-law, Marva Jo Hardage of Bismarck and Linda Hardage of Myrtle Springs, TX, 17 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, 13 great great grandchildren, and many other relatives.

Her children and grandchildren will share their memories of her life at 2 PM Wednesday at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home Chapel in Arkadelphia. Interment will be in the Oak Bower cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Benny Joe Hardage Jr., James Hardage, Kenny Hardage, Jeff Hardage, Shawn Hardage, Mel Hardage, Shane McCloud, Brett Cruse and great grandson Casey Brown. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
