Sue Ledbetter Norwood, 69, of Friendship passed away Saturday September 2, 2006 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock.
 
She was born May 16, 1937 in Friendship to W.E. and Bertie Spurlin Ledbetter.  Sue was very active within her community.  She was a member of the Ouachita Volunteer Fire Department and the Friendship Baptist Church, and an election poll worker.  Her greatest joy came when she spent time with her husband and family. 
She was preceded in death by her parents and 3 brothers: Coy, Billy Joe, and Eugene Ledbetter.
 
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Bill Norwood.  Two daughters: Debbie Rook of Arkadelphia; Sandy Hixon and husband Bruce of Brown Springs; Three sisters: Adell Dodd of Marshall , TX, Hazel Langston of Little Rock, and JoAnn Sims of Friendship; Five Grandchildren: Chad Rook of Prescott, Jeremy Rook and wife Tosha of Donaldson, Mandy Rook of Arkadelphia, and Buddy Hixon and wife Erika and Chris Hixon and wife Misty all of Brown Springs; Six Great Grandchildren: Kailyn, Rylie, and Brady Rook and Lexie, Will, and Jarret Hixon; along with a host of other family and friends.
 
Funeral Services will be 3:00 PM Wednesday September 6, at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Chapel in Arkadelphia, with Bro. Hollis McDermott and Bro. Jerry George officiating.  Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Friendship. 
 
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Tues September 5, at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home in Arkadelphia.
 
Pallbearers are Jimmy Helton, Thomas Norton, Chad Rook, Buddy Hixon, Chris Hixon, and Jeremy Rook.  Honorary Pallbearers are the members of the Ouachita Volunteer Fire Department, and the nurses and staff of 10A at Baptist Medical Center of Little Rock.
