Sue Henderson

Sue Henderson, 91, of North Little Rock passed away March 22, 2022.  She was one of seven children born to Mattie Childress Harris and Joseph J. Harris.  Sue worked as a meat wrapper for Safeway Grocery until her retirement.  She most recently attended Crystal Hill Assembly of God.  In her younger years she was active as a Sunday School and VBS teacher, choir member and church secretary.  She was a gifted pianist and sang with various trios and quartets.  Her family enjoyed eating many of the vegetables that she canned or pickled. She had special recipes for chocolate gravy, lemon pie, donuts with warm icing, and her famous homemade yeast rolls. Sue enjoyed traveling and the Smokey Mountains was one of her favorite vacation spots. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents, five siblings and her husband, Ralph Doyle Henderson. 

Survivors include her two sons and daughters-in-law:  Mike and Marsha Henderson, Don and Ki Henderson; sister and brother-in-law, Billie Jo and Kenneth Bryant; grandchildren: Ryan Henderson (Brittni), Teri Eddy (C.J.), Dustin Henderson (Amy) and Janel McQueen(Marcus); great grandchildren:  Mykal, Peyton, Aubrey, David, Cydney, Madden and Maxxen; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home.
