Sue Halley

Sue Halley, 90, of Little Rock, passed away Sunday, September 18th. She was the ultimate southern matriarch and her family was her most cherished treasure. She had many careers over her lifetime; restaurant manager, cosmetologist, and business owner. When she retired she moved to Quapaw Towers Condominiums and loved her life there.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John R. and Jenny Knight; her husband, Charles Halley; brother, Harold Knight; and sister, Dauphine Elias. Right now she is having a joyful reunion with her niece, Eve Green and nephew, Neal Elias, whom she loved and missed dearly.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandy Sanders (Tim Hogan) of Scott; granddaughters, Michelle (Albert) Castiglia of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and Cindy (Bobby) Richardson of North Little Rock; great-grandchildren, Josh Eve of Florida, Christina Williams of Bryant, and Marlee Richardson of North Little Rock; her nephew, Jim (Sue) Knight of Russellville; and great-nephews, Nathan (Kim) Knight and Rex (Amberly) Knight and their families all of Russellville.
Sandy would like to thank all of the wonderful staff at Stonehaven Assisted Living in Maumelle who worked so tirelessly to make Mrs. Sue's last three months so comfortable. She would also like to thank Dr. Delbra Caradine with the UAMS House Calls program for the excellent healthcare she and her staff provided over the past 11 years. And finally a very special thank you to Arkansas Hospice for the loving and compassionate end of life care they provided.
In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials by made to Arkansas Hospice, 14 Parkstone Circle, North Little Rock, Arkansas 72116 or UAMS Institute on Aging, 629 Jack Stephens Drive, Little Rock, Arkansas 72205.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in Pinecrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main, 758-1170. Online obituary and guest registry at www.nlrfh.com.
