Steven Howard Curtis, age 57, passed away November 22, 2011. He was born December 11, 1953 to George and Sue Curtis of Benton. In addition to his dad, he was preceded in death by his sister Sherrilyn Glenn; niece Haylee Higgins; grandparents, Ross and Vera Bell, and George, Sr., and Eva Lee Curtis.
Steve was a long time employee and friend of the Landers family. At Landers, he became an exemplary salesman and broke several sales records. He mentored the younger salesmen and his experience at Landers allowed him to foster hundreds of friendships.
He is survived by his wife, Kelly Carter Curtis of Little Rock; daughters, Carman Slate (Kevin) of Philadelphia, PA, Evan Curtis of Benton and Emily Curtis of Fayetteville; mother, Sue Curtis of Benton; grandchildren, Quenton and Ava Slate; brother, Mike Curtis of Benton; sisters, Denise Higgins (Windell) of Mayflower, Tonya Johnson (Larry) of Benton; seven nephews and five nieces.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 25, 2011 at Pinecrest Memorial Park, Alexander, Arkansas, with Brother Scott Davis officiating. Celebration of life service will follow at 2:30 p.m. at the 4-H Center, Four H Way, Ferndale, AR.
