Stephanie C. Scarborough, 35, of Sherwood, Arkansas died on October 28, 2007 after a two-year battle with cancer. She was born September 4, 1972 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Stephanie attended Cornerstone Bible Fellowship Church.
She is preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Deatrice Banks, and her paternal grandfather, Thomas Scarborough Sr. She is survived by her mother and step-father, Billie and Jeff Lashbrook of Little Rock; her father and step-mother Bob and Sandee Scarborough of North Little Rock, one brother, Michael Scarborough of North Little Rock; five step-brothers; one step-sister; one very special niece, Hayley Scarborough of Sherwood and a very special grandmother, Myrtle Scarborough of Sherwood.
All who knew or met Stephanie were touched by her radiant smile, her quick sense of humor and memorable laugh.
Stephanie graduated with honors from North Pulaski High School in 1990, graduated from Lyon College in Batesville in 1994, and graduated from Baptist Nursing School with honors in 1999. Stephanie was voted one of the four best nurses in Arkansas in May 2007.
The family would like to express a heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Lawrence Mendelsohn and his staff at Little Rock Oncology and Hematology Clinic and to the wonderful and caring nurses and staff of Floor 10A at Baptist Medical Center and to her very supporting co-workers in the emergency room at Baptist Medical Center-Springhill.
The family is requesting that memorials, in lieu of flowers, be sent to St. Jude Children?s Hospital Tribute Program, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M., Thursday at Cornerstone Bible Fellowship Church. Burial will be in Edgewood Memorial Park.
