Stephanie Renae (Howle) Peterson, 50, of Conway, Arkansas, who was a Proverbs 31 woman, died on March 13, 2025. Survivors include her husband and best friend, Chad. Stephanie and Chad were married on June 6, 2015.
Among the qualities for which Stephanie will be remembered, her family lists: sweetest soul; faithful; great friend; remembered everything about everyone; determined; meticulous in her work; beautiful voice; loved music; and ferocious board and card game competitor. Stephanie performed with the Texas band, Highway 105, alongside her brother, Chris, and uncle, Alan. Alan’s wife, Ginger, always was in the front row dancing when the band played.
Stephanie’s life will be celebrated on March 29, 2025, at Peace Lutheran Church, 800 South Donaghey Avenue, Conway. Visitation is scheduled at 10:30 a.m., with the service to follow at 11 a.m.
Stephanie was born in Metairie, Louisiana, on November 3, 1974, to Harold and Judy (Daigle) Howle. She was raised in Spring, Texas, just north of Houston, and graduated from Spring High School in 1993. Stephanie grew up a fan of the Houston Astros with her dad.
Stephanie was an accounts analyst at Airetech Corporation/Northwest Controls Systems, Inc., affiliated companies that design and service commercial heating and air conditioning controls systems. She moved to central Arkansas in July 2012 for this job.
Stephanie was the brightest star in her galaxy of family and friends. “Love you so much, sweet Steph,” posts childhood friend April Davis Rogers. “I’ll see you someday on the flip side. Until then, I’ll miss you like crazy, but I promise to use your God-filled inspiration to make me a better me.”
Stephanie was preceded in death by her parents; maternal grandparents, Ashton and Zelda (Richardson) Daigle Wells; paternal grandparents, Ray and Adell (Drewett) Howle; and stepfather, Bryan Reed.
In addition to her husband Chad, Stephanie is survived by her brother, Chris Howle, his wife, Christine, and their children, Haven (Jarrett), Wade and C.J.; aunt and uncle, Ginger and Alan Ash; and uncle, Mike Daigle. Stephanie was particularly close to niece Haven and nephew Wade, and they adored her.
Other survivors include Stephanie’s father-in-law, John Peterson; sister-in-law, Theresa Gustafson, her husband, David, and their children, Amanda (Kenneth) and Clay (Chalet); sister-in-law, Merry Hunhoff, her husband, Jeff, and their children, Reid, Kendra and Walker; great-nieces and great-nephews, Jordan, Brooks, Brody and Ivy; and stepmother, Debbie Howle.
Stephanie was devoted to her and Chad’s “boys,” canines Zeke and Cash. Zeke’s place was at Stephanie’s side.

Stephanie participated in a clinical trial at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, Maryland, in 2019 and 2020. She cherished her time at NIH, the support of its medical staff and the friends she made there.
Stephanie shared a room with one of these friends, Amanda Jones, who was undergoing chemotherapy at the time.
“She is a major reason for me finding my way back to GOD again,” Amanda recalled when learning of Stephanie’s passing, “and I can’t thank her enough for so many things and good memories in a short time. She was a soul sister.”
