Stella Hodges

Stella Hodges of Little Rock passed from this life on December 27, 2021 at the age of 82. She was born April 4, 1939, in Robertstown, Arkansas to the late Oscar and Aileen (Hurst) Lefler. Stella graduated from East Peoria High School in Illinois and attended college at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She was employed with Arkansas Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance company for 21 years before her retirement. Along with her husband JR, Stella was a devoted member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Little Rock. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by son, Clark Bizzell; sister, Bobbie Henderson; and brother, Bill Lefler (Ann.)

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 42 years, JR Hodges; children, Judy Bizzell Wooldridge (Kelly,) Jim Hodges Jr., Laura Bizzell Marratt (Charles), Susan Holbert (Steve) all of Little Rock; grandchildren, Aaryn Klein (Max,) Kathryn Justice (Tyler,) and Clark Wooldridge, Charles and Claire Marratt, Hayden Holbert and Hannah Hodges; great grandchildren, Sawyer and Hallie Justice and Margot Klein. Others include siblings, Bud Lefler of Morrilton and Joe Lefler (Cora) of Houston along with a host of extended family and friends.

Memorial Services will be 10:00am, Friday, January 7, 2022 at Immanuel Baptist Church, Horne Hall, 501 North Shackleford Road, Little Rock, Arkansas 72211. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Immanuel Baptist Church Bereavement Fund or Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute Patient Support Fund
