Starla Jean Thomas, age 55 of Sherwood, passed away February 12, 2016 at her home. She was born April 26, 1960 in Little Rock; and she was the daughter of Bobby Childs and Glenda Purdom-Mahan.
Mrs. Thomas was a homemaker, who loved spending time with her family, and her precious dogs, who she lovingly always referred to as "her babies"; she was a member of That Church in Sherwood.
She is preceded in death by her mother Glenda Mahan, and her sister Shana Mahan.
Survivors include her husband Larry Thomas of Sherwood; her children, Joshua Wayne Vaughn and wife Heather of Benton, and Jessica Leah Vaughn of Sherwood; grandchildren Noah, Cade, and Emily Vaughn; a brother, Kevin Childs of Jonesboro and her father, Bobby Childs of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 18, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service beginning at 7:00 p.m., both at Huson Funeral Home Chapel at Sherwood.
