Skipper "Skip" Wayne Moran

Skipper “Skip” Wayne Moran, age 61, of Hot Springs, passed away on Friday, June 10, 2022.

He was born on July 10, 1960, in San Francisco, California, the son of Bill and Dana H. Moran.  He is preceded in death by his father. 

Skip was a Christian in his faith.  He was one of a kind and lived life on his own terms.  Skip owned his own moving company and worked with his brothers’ landscaping companies over the years.  He never missed work, loved working with his buddies, and had a happy-go-lucky outlook on life.  He would do anything for you if he could.  He was a beloved son, brother, father, uncle and friend to many.  He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.

He is survived by his daughter, Dana Moran Johnston and husband, Russell Johnston, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, his mother, Dana Ryan of Royal; one sister and brother-in-law, Tammy and Kevin Firestone of Chapin, South Carolina; two brothers and sisters-in-law; Mike and Valerie Moran of Little Rock and Marcus and Sherri Moran of Mooresville, North Carolina; one step-brother, Todd (Amy) Ryan; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of wonderful friends.

Memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, June 24, 2022, with Bro. Scott Bates officiating in the Mount Tabor Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Home Hot Springs.
