Shirley Ward

Shirley P. Ward, 80, of Little Rock passed from this life on August 3, 2020. She was born January 30, 1940 in Provo, Arkansas the daughter of the late Joe T. and Icie Jones Kemp. Mrs. Ward was employed with AAA for twenty-five years. After her retirement, she was employed with the Pulaski County Assessor’s office for another twenty-five years. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Ward; sister, Mary Elizabeth Whitington and grandson, James Christopher Elmore Jr.

Survivors include her children, Annette (Chris) Elmore of Little Rock, Angela (Dr. Douglas) Winter of Little Rock, Shawn (Carolina) Ward of California; grandchildren, Danielle (Tori) and Josh Brancca, Emily Elmore, Dr. Melissa (Patrick) Anderson, Benjamin S. Winter, Thiago Ramos, Dominique, Shawn L. and Noah Ward. Other survivors include great-grandchildren, Faith, Lukas and Marcus House; brother, Gus Kemp of Little Rock; along with a host of extended family and loved ones.

Funeral services will be 9:30a.m., Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at Smith Little Rock Funeral Home with Dr. Walter Smith officiating. Interment will follow at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
