Shirley Strain

Shirley Ann Smith Strain, passed away Sunday morning, January 11, 2015. She was born July 5, 1945 in Little Rock, Arkansas. She had attended Pine Grove Baptist Church. She was a hairdresser for over 35 years and loved working with her flowers. She loved her family and visiting with family and friends.
Shirley is survived by her husband of 40 years, Charles Strain of Little Rock; stepchildren, Charlie Strain and Chellia Hunt; brothers, John Smith of San Antonio, Texas and Jimmy Don Smith of Sardis; sister, Verna Jackson, of Scott; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Rosalie Griebel, Maribeth Crawley; brothers, William Thomas Smith, Verna Wallace Smith Jr.; mother, Carmen Gage; and father, Vernon Wallace Smith, Sr.
She will be missed but will be with loved ones.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday at Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home. Burial will be in Pinecrest Memorial Park.
