Shirley Stephens, a devoted mother, beloved friend, and cherished member of the community, passed away on October 23, 2024 at the age of 76. Born on November 3, 1947, Shirley's life was one filled with love, warmth, and an unwavering commitment to her family and friends.

Throughout her life, Shirley was known for her nurturing spirit and compassionate heart. She raised her children with immense dedication, imparting values of kindness and resilience that will carry on through them and their families. She is survived by her children: William Oscar Stephens, Jr. (Kelly), Teresa Stephens (Troy), Gregg, Yvonne "Bonnie" Bardwell (Carl), and Debra Kay Thomas (Alex), all of whom reflect the love and care that she so generously shared. She is also survived by her siblings, Robert Wilkerson, Mary Owens, Jim Wilkerson, Roy Wilkerson, and Lonnie Wilkerson; The bond she shared remains a testament to the strength of family ties that characterized her life

Shirley was also a proud grandmother to nine grandchildren and reveled in the joy of her 14 great-grandchildren. Her legacy of love extends further through a host of nieces and nephews who will fondly remember her as a guiding light in their lives. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, H.C. "Bill" Wilkerson and Flossie Wilkerson, as well as a sister, Dorothy Donald. 

In honor of her remarkable journey, a funeral service will be held on October 25, 2024, at Pentecostal Lighthouse in Greenville, MS. The service will begin at 12:00 PM, followed by a time for reflection and remembrance at 1:00 PM.

Shirley's spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know her. She will be greatly missed but lovingly remembered for her genuine love and kindness to everyone she encountered.

Pallbearers will be: Joey Wilkerson, Jared Gregg, Aaron French, Alex Thomas Jr., Brandon Wensel, Dustin Stephens,

Honorary Pallbearers: William Stephens Jr., Jimmy Wilkerson, Robert Wilkerson, Roy Wilkerson, Lonnie Wilkerson.
