Shirley Lee Shields, 69, of Benton, Arkansas passed away February 28, 2016. She was born June 24, 1946 in Cleveland, Arkansas to the late Thomas Jefferson and Weda Mae Bryant.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Louise Johnson.
She leaves to cherish her memories her loving husband of 48 years, Frank Shields of Benton, Arkansas; three sons, Clay Shields of North Little Rock, Arkansas, Chris Shields and wife Gina of Benton, Arkansas, and Clint Shields and wife Holly of Benton, Arkansas; grandchildren, Cayley Shields, Cara Peel and husband Andrew, Noah Shields, Nicole Shields, and Tate Shields; sister, Ruth Williams and husband Harold of Bird Town, Arkansas; brother, Luther Bryant and wife Wanda of Bird Town, Arkansas; sister, Stella Foster of Montrose, Colorado; twin sister, Helen Dixon and husband Ray of Cabot, Arkansas; sister, Gayle Williams and husband Arlie of Center Ridge, Arkansas; sister, Brenda Tuohey of Little Rock, Arkansas; and many other family members and friends who loved Shirley and will miss her always.
Reception visitation will be held Tuesday, March 1, 2016 from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M., Smith-Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market St., Benton, Arkansas 72015. Funeral service, officiated by Rev. Charles Martin, will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Smith-Benton Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Old Union Cemetery with Mark Bryant, Tim Dixon, Russell Bryant, Chad Williams, Tommy Foster, and Lynn Williams assisting as pallbearers.
